The SplitWing is a minimal trekking pole-supported tarp shelter designed for ultralight backpacking and thru-hikes. At 7.9oz without stakes (10.3oz all-in), it offers palatial space for one person and cozy space for two. The front trekking pole can be pitched anywhere between 105-120cm, allowing optimization for either floor area and storm protection with a low pitch or generous headroom with a high pitch. It features an enclosed foot area for wind and rain protection, strategically-placed reinforcement panels, and is compatible with optional vestibule and mesh body accessories for increased weather coverage and comfort.
